ENGINECompetition-Bred Engine Performance The revolutionary front-intake/rear-exhaust, liquid-cooled, fuel-injected, four-stroke engine has been developed for enduro competition.A new air induction system works with a high compression piston for a wide and linear spread of power. Forward-Thinking Engine Design Reversing the cylinder head while placing the intake forward and the exhaust to the rear allow for a straight shot, downdraft intake and straight exhaust port for maximised engine performance. Innovative Yamaha Power Tuner App The new free-of-charge Yamaha Power Tuner App allows you to connect to the WR250F via your smartphone. The app allows you to easily adjust the three stage Traction Control, as well as view the Lap Timer, record race log information, monitor a range of data such as maintenance and system diagnosis, the engine run time and more. Six-Speed Gearbox A six-speed transmission is used to ensure the right gear is available for the wide variety of terrain found in fast trail riding and enduro racing. Transmission features durable gears and a heavy-duty, large-diameter clutch. CHASSIS/SUSPENSIONAdvanced Bilateral Aluminum Frame An all-aluminum bilateral beam frame taken from the class-leading YZ250F provides strength, lightness and durability for fast trail riding and comes standard with a rugged plastic skid plate. Class-Leading Suspension Industry-leading Speed Sensitive System KYB® fully adjustable spring-type forks and a KYB® rear shock have been thoroughly tested and tuned specifically for enduro and contribute to a lower centre of gravity. High-Spec Braking Components The high performance braking system provides exceptional stopping power and control through high-spec componentry, including a rigid front caliper with larger diameter pistons, aggressive brake pad compound and a 270mm front rotor. The rear brake gets a lightweight rear caliper and hanger with a 240mm rear rotor to reduce unsprung weight. Slim Bodywork New compact bodywork with 50mm narrower shrouds, new flatter seat and slimmer 7.4 litre fuel tank make moving around on the bike easier. High Traction Dunlop Tires Race-Developed Dunlop® GEOMAX MX33 tires maximize traction while delivering excellent durability. Practical Touches Quick-adjust clutch, wide 55mm platform footpegs, four-position rubber-mounted handlebar clamps, aluminium handlebars and a side stand come standard for added rider convenience. The WR250F is also fitted with a radiator fan for cool running. Multi-Function Display WR250F includes a multi-function display featuring a speedometer, trip information and convenient low fuel and engine warning indicators.
